Quiet Realization
Today I wrap myself in the blanket of reality
no longer pushing it off me
allowing myself to embrace the folds
of calming warmth, familiar smell,
without melancholy, without regret.
Breathing in acceptance,
leaving blame behind
making no excuse,
letting the fog of fantasy
lift from my eyes.
